If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you are an Eagle or Pitkin County resident, and you have Medicaid or ESO Medicaid, this program is for you.
Prenatal clinics are held weekly at Community Health with a bilingual prenatal coordinator, and certified nurse midwife or physician. All Valley Women’s Care conducts the visit. The prenatal program provides patient-centered screening, monitoring, education, nutrition, referrals, case management, routine labs, vaccines and dental care for optimal pregnancy outcomes. Births take place at Aspen Valley Hospital Birth Center.
Be Proactive
Get prenatal care as soon as you think you’re pregnant
Go to all of your scheduled prenatal visits too. Typically your prenatal care with a midwife or doctor will include:
- 1 visit each month for the first 6 months
- 2 visits each month in the 7th and 8th months
- 1 visit each week in the 9th month
- 1 visit 6-8 weeks after your baby is born (postpartum)
Prenatal Package
Timely prenatal, birth and postpartum care are essential for the health of women and their babies. Community Health Provides prenatal care through a partnership with All Valley Women’s Care and Eagle County Public Health.
